How can we make a reservation to eat at the restaurant and Virgin son?
I ate there just two weeks ago. It was fabulous. Reservations is not easy in the world, but worth it. You will not regret it. You can make reservations online or by phone for less than 10 people. What you do is this: They start taking reservations IN PERSON at 9:30 am the day you want to eat there. We were there the last week of April, spring break before and after the school was not there. We arrived at 9:45 ET were able to walk to the hostess (sitting on a podium outside) and ask her what she had available. It said they were very open. We made reservations for 5 pm it was …. But the catch is easy … the time of the year that you go. I was informed by locals as if it is in high season (mid-May to mid-September), you must get there at 7:30 only to get decent place in line just to get to the hostess. Once you get the reservation … arrive 15 minutes earlier than you'll stand in the crowd on the sidewalk with all the others who have reservations for the time you eat it. They seat everyone at once. They ask your name, you must report to the hostess, she gives you a ticket, you go inside, someone looking at your tickets and seats, either you or sends you a lift. There are 3 floors and the place holds a lot of people. There are buffets on three floors. Once you arrive your floor, there is a host / hostess immediately you get off the elevator and they take you to your seat. It's really good the process. They have a science. The buffet is beautiful … the day we were there, they had fried chicken (of course), a sort of net Pork w / juice, pepper steak, black eyed peas, greens, sweet potatoes, rice, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad bar and dessert (Banana pudding, brownie melted cobbler fishing – all from scratch) was included. I think two of the dishes change daily, but chicken is a pillar. My husband had the buffet ($ 17.95) and I had the Lady & Sons Chicken Pot Pie. It is the most delicious pie I've ever eaten. I'm not big on buffets and a friend had recommended that the pie. I've never been happy to have made this choice?? It was $ 18.95 and worth every penny. As I ordered …." I thought it better to be a really good pie for $ 18.95 "and it was! It was thick and rich and delicious and had a style lattice crust pastry. It was so great that I could only eat half. But further warmed in the microwave for lunch the next day. My husband was reluctant to go through all the things we have done to make the reservation but he had to admit that it was worth the inconvenience and he lived up to the name of Paula Deen. Go … you will enjoy it.
