Someone has the recipe for cream or cookie 1970 Better Home and Gardens Cookbook?
Any one have this recipe in the cookbook or so 1970? Creme Cookies – (2 slices lightly in the oven with a glaze them. They are very delicate and flakey.) Thanks
Lemon Creme Cookies 1 cup butter, softened 3 / 4 cup granulated sugar from the fourth v. teaspoon salt 1 egg yolk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 large spoon Coffee grated lemon zest 2-1/4 cups all purpose flour Filling 4 tablespoons butter, softened 1-1/2 cups confectioners sugar 1 tablespoon tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions 1. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar and salt with a mixer medium speed until fluffy and well blended. Beat the egg yolks, vanilla and lemon Peel Reduce speed at least in the flour and beat until just combined. Divide the dough into quarters and wrap each in plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until 2 days. 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 2 large cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray. On a lightly floured work surface, the rolling of a disk of dough to 1/8-inch thick. Using a 2-1/2 inch cookie cutter or straw, cut out the centers half of these cookies, rerolling and cutting waste. Place cookies ½ inch apart on prepared sheets. Bake until it is well browned, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer cookies to rack to cool completely. Repeat with remaining dough. 3. Do Filling: In large bowl, beat all ingredients with electric mixer until smooth. When cookies are completely cooled, extend 1 / 2 teaspoon filling on each cookie bottom and top with a cutout cookie. 30 biscuits. Bake about 7 minutes per batch Makes
